Where We Live
This is our house 'Caurniehill' in a small town called Clynder on the west coast of Scotland. It sits on the Gareloch, looking across the water towards Helensburgh. The name Clynder may derive from the Gaelic Cluan Dearg, meaning 'Red Meadow', presumably a reference to the colour of the vegetation once found there. Although the town no longer boasts a pier, the whole area is a mecca for yachts and other craft. This is a very pituresque area, perfect for the dogs, but yet within an hour of Glasgow as the map above shows. We have a lovely outlook from the house, and it isn't every day that you get to see the worlds only ocean going paddle-steamer, The Waverley, pass by your front door!

Stopping for a well earned rest on our walk.
